Description: AdipoR2 is one of two unique adiponectin receptors. These receptors are ubiquitous in distribution, but their relative concentrations vary according to cell type, with the AdipoR2 receptor more abundant in liver. Specifically in swine, AdipoR2 has been found in a higher relative abundance in skeletal muscle and visceral and sc fat tissues.
Application: The AdipoR2 primer pairs recognize the porcine specific AdipoR2 receptor sequences in cDNA. Excellent results are consistently yielded in either PCR followed by electrophoresis, or in qPCR methods.
